” If you don’t get it right the first time, what you tend to get is penalties and impacts on your appearance in search results, which can be harder to recover than it is to get them right in the first place. ”

  • How to manage the relationship between PPC and SEO:

“Where they can work together is understanding where SEO is finding benefits, understanding where PPC is finding benefits, and making sure there’s not too much crossover so you’re not spending your PPC budget on areas where you’re already doing very well with SEO.”

  • Why you need to be careful about spending money on fancy tools to help your SEO:

“Investing capital upfront in technology and platforms is great. But unless you’ve got people on site to actually implement the changes in the findings that these tools help you to uncover, there’s no point spending money on those tools. ”
